The Restricted Burning Period (permit required to burn) 
for the Shire of Nannup is the 1st of March un!l the 
31st of May 2018. Council is not currently issuing any 
permits un!l there has been sufficient rain, this also 
applies for the camp fires within our Shire. Once 
sa!sfied, Fire Control Officers will be no!fied that fire 
permits can be issued.  

 

There are other factors to consider, but as a guide we 
usually wait for the season to break. Council consults 
with Fire Control Officers, Department of Fire and 
Emergency Services, the Department of Bio-diversity, 
Conserva!on and A$rac!ons (Parks & Wildlife) and the 
Bureau of Meteorology.
