Coordinator - Nannup Volunteers
Hello Nannup Volunteers
Welcome to the first VRC page of the new decade. I’m hoping that there will be some volunteering as
part of your 20 20 vision! (Sorry...I know that pun was bad but I just had to...) Thank you to those who
volunteered during December and January in events including the Lions Christmas Tree, Town VF&RS
Lolly drop, and the Family Fun Day. I was lucky enough to enjoy a#ernoon tea with some of our local
volunteers at the Thank a Volunteer A#ernoon tea in December. Nannup’s volunteers really are part of
the life blood of our community. Thank you all!
The Nannup Music Fes$val is just around the
corner. If you were able to volunteer, contact
Lyn at volunteers@nannupmusicfes$val.org. I’m
sure that your contribu$on will be greatly
appreciated. For more informa$on regarding
the program, line-up and $cke$ng, visit

Volunteers in the Spotlight
With Australia widely effected by bushfire, many
are recognising the contribu$on and relevance of
our country volunteer bush and town fire brigades.
Nannup and surrounds has 10 local brigades.
These include Balingup Road, Carlo'a, Cundinup,
Darradup, East Nannup, Nannup Brook, Sco'
River/Lake Jasper, Nannup Township, North
Nannup, and Peerabeelup.
Volunteers receive training in bush fire awareness
and firefigh$ng techniques with ongoing upgrading
of skills once a member.
For details on how to join your local brigade call
the Nannup VRC 9756 3022 or contact the
Community Emergency Services Officer at the
Nannup Shire on 9756 1018.
Bushfire Prepara$on Toolkits are a quick and easy to
follow, fold out guide for making bushfire plans.
These are available from the Nannup Shire and
Nannup VRC
