Welcome the New Trainee
There’s a new face in the Shire office -we welcome the new trainee Chaun Welch to the team.
Chaun completed year 12 in 2019 and started with the Shire in December of that year. He
forms part of the customer service team and assists with the Library and
Department of Transport transac•ons. He is another friendly face at the front desk and always
willing to help.
An avid reader of author Rick Riordan, he is a typical teenager who likes to play
computer games. Chaun (pictured right) was a great help at the Family Fun Day in January and
is
keen
to
get
involved
in
his
local
community.
We
look
forward
to
training him in the coming 12 months in Business Administra•on.
Fire & Emergency Update
The recent fire on Mount Folly saw an excellent
response from the local fire and rescue teams
including DEFS and DPAW, who were well
equipped to deal with the local emergency.
The Shire of Nannup would like to thank the
Departments for their prompt response and
extend this gra•tude to the local businesses who
supported the crew, all the volunteers and the
community for their support during this
emergency.
Please ensure your property is Bushfire Ready
and your Fire Plan is up to date.
